We're a private radio-controlled aircraft club for 3M employees and their guests.
General membership meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month. The September to April general membership meetings are usually held in the 3M Center, Bldg. 222 cafeteria. The May to August general membership meetings are held at the flying field and we generally start earlier, have a brief meeting, and get some flying time in.
Our meetings include technical presentations, demonstrations, tips from modelers and topic-related product displays from local area hobby shops. The club has some of the finest R/C pilots in the area who volunteer to serve as instructors. The 3M Club R/C Flyers offer free instruction with membership.
The Club members participate in numerous activities during the year. There are flying events including, the annual chili fly, student demonstrations at local schools, air shows, an annual static display held at 3M and the annual cleanup day at the field.
